What & Who?

The Home Church Network is a community of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who gather to have church in their homes.

WHY?

Our mission is to provide help, support, and fellowship for those who wish to experience God in their homes, offering the resources and network to do so. We believe the home is an ideal place to invite unbelieving friends and family into the presence of God, making it a good place to start and continue discipleship.

The home was the birthplace of the New Testament Church and played an essential role in the growth of the early Church. We believe that the Church should never have left the home. This does not mean we oppose church buildings or the congregation of the saints in larger settings, but rather that homes should continue to serve as the foundation of the Church.

The Home Church Network also believes that the family is central to God’s plan, and that God desires to use Kingdom families as a window through which the world can see and ultimately experience abundant life. The family, as God intended, is the cornerstone of a stable, loving, and prosperous church. In support of this mission, we will endeavor to provide targeted resources and support specifically designed for families.

This includes offering family-centric workshops, materials for home-based worship and discipleship, and community support initiatives that help strengthen the spiritual foundation of every household. Through these efforts, we aim to empower families to fulfill their God-given role as pillars of the church and beacons of God’s love in their communities.

Disclaimer

The Home Church Network does not seek to replace or usurp God’s established authority and the function of the ministerial gifts He provided for His body: “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11-13, KJV).

This network serves as a supplement to support and encourage true worship to begin at home. We are not funded by any church organization. We believe in the congregation of the body of Christ, whether in a home or a building, and do not consider one more valid than the other. As the scripture says: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20, KJV).

Vision

The Home Church Network aims to be a global network of believers who have church in their homes, while also providing access to some of their home church activities online or in person. On this site, you will be able to find service times and locations for those who wish to open their homes to people in the local community.

Our aim is to walk in love, “as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour” (Ephesians 5:2, KJV). We seek to encourage, edify, and equip each other to be constituent parts of a body that is “fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love” (Ephesians 4:16, KJV).

To support this mission, we will provide a variety of audio, visual, and written resources to help individuals and families grow in their faith and facilitate worship within their homes. These resources will be designed to inspire, educate, and empower believers as they pursue a deeper relationship with God in the context of their home churches.
